After downloading the program, click on it to install.

Mozilla Extension

The Bloglines Mozilla extension adds a notifier and several additional features to Mozilla and Firefox browsers. In addition to embedding a notifier within the lower-right portion of the browser window, the extension adds a number of additional options to the right-click context menu. Right click on a web page, and you will have the option to subscribe to it within Bloglines or find references to that page. Highlight text within a web page, and the context menu will offer the option to search Bloglines for that text. Right click on a link, and the context menu will have additional options to view the references to the link and to subscribe to the link.

To install the Bloglines Mozilla extension, you should be running a recent version of Mozilla or Firefox. Click on the Download Now link. That should start the upgrade process. If it doesn't, save the file to disk, and open it within the browser.

You will be asked to approve the installation of the Bloglines extension. After clicking 'Ok', you will be asked whether it should be installed in the application directory. Generally you want to click the 'Cancel' button in this dialog. After that, the extension should be installed. If you have previously installed a version of the extension, you may get an error message at this point. It is safe to ignore this. To activate the extension, you will need to restart your browser.

Once the extension is running, you will see a little 'B' Bloglines icon in the lower right corner of the browser window. Right-click on that icon to bring up the preferences window. You should enter the email address you use to log into Bloglines in the preference window. The preference window also lets you configure various aspects of the Bloglines Mozilla extension.

The Bloglines Mozilla Extension was written by Bloglines user Chad Everett.

Supports: Recent versions of Mozilla and Firefox
