David Airey announced that davidairey.com is now back in his possession.
With 50,000 daily visitors plowing into his site, (but only for a short time) he managed to bring this attack to many peoples attention.
We contacted David and told him if there was anything we could do, just ask. Other users went on to contacted CEO of GoDaddy.com (Bob Parsons) and left him a "Flood of Email".
David no longer needs to file for a court appearance, as GoDaddy.com repaired David's damaged website quickly an efficiently , and taking less time than was quoted.
Here is a small sniplet from his posting on his remarkable recovery from this "Cracker".
Just to let you know, the filthy person who did this to you is referred to as a “cracker” not a “hacker”. A hacker is someone who tweaks things to their purposes. A cracker is a low-life who attacks other people with malicious intent. There is a big difference. I want to take the time to express to my readers, this is the 1st time that being hacked turned out to be a blessing. With 50k readers per day and an overloaded server, we (the readers) brought back justice to the internet by taking his site away from the "Cracker".
David made a few friends on the way, and was blessed by some information he did not have before this attack. He also claim's to use his blog in the future to defeat hackers , very much like what we are trying to do here.
We are aware that some top media companies monitor the OS9USER News Room and link to it from time to time.
But, this is one story they should pickup on and run themselves.
Everyone can use a Christmas Cheer as the New Year approaches.
Sometimes the news can be depressing :) OS9USERLabels: breaking news os9user david airey davidairey.com website returned
