According to the Sectera Edge product page, it was developed for the National Security Agency’s Secure Mobile Environment Portable Electronic Device (SME PED) program. I’m sure the device cost in the hundreds of thousands to design, so you can bet this baby is secure.
The Sectera Edge actually looks like a very capable device, and appears to be running Windows CE (the underpinnings of Windows Mobile). So, the president will be able to view his Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and other documents while on the road and it will be completely secure. Features and specifications listed by General Dynamics for the Sectera Edge include:
* Processor -- not disclosed * Memory -- separate RAM and ROM for unclassified and classified modes * Display -- 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display * Wireless interfaces: o WAN -- GSM (850/900/1800/1900)/EDGE, GSM (850/1900/2100) UMTS/HSDPA, or CDMA (800/1900) 1xRTT, CDMA (800/1900) EV-DO Rel. Pricing for the Sectera Edge was not revealed, but the device is available now, according to General Dynamics.
Below is a picture of the Sectera Edge taken from the Sectra Edge product page. As you can see, it does a lot more than a Blackberry. Oh and it puts the iPhone design to shame!
Update : CNN contacted NSA inquiring whether the agency will approve the super-secret $3,300 Blackberry and was directed to the White House which wouldn’t say which device the President has.

At the end of the chase the woman stopped the vehicle in the middle of the road, and fled on foot. She attempted to gain access to the passenger side of another car, but that car drove off.
An officer caught up with the suspect, and took her into custody.
